When to Begin HVAC Training

The best time to start HVAC training is this January so that you will be educated and prepared for the HVAC peak season in the summer. This will give you an advantage in the industry. HVAC companies will be looking to hire just as you are seeking employment.

Increasing Demand For HVAC Technicians

The demand for HVAC Technicians is on the rise as HVAC technology progresses. HVAC technology is constantly advancing and consumers want the latest and greatest heating and air conditioning for their homes and businesses. Maintenance and installation must be done by a certified HVAC technician. The smarter the HVAC system is, the more an HVAC technician is needed.

Peak HVAC Season

While winters in the south are generally pretty mild, Texas summers can be unbearable without a functioning AC unit. Therefore, in the summer months, the demand for HVAC technicians increases substantially.

Chris Walters’ Method

Chris Walters is the Director and Instructor of The Training Center of Air Conditioning & Heating. He has over 30 years of experience in the HVAC industry and holds a Class “A” air conditioning license in the State of Texas with refrigeration and process heating and cooling endorsements. He opened The Training Center because he saw the demand for HVAC technicians explode as the pool of experienced and qualified candidates shrunk. His method emphasizes real-world training so that graduates are ready to enter the workforce.

Classes

This 14-week program is offered three times a year with morning and evening options to work with any schedule. Classes don’t exceed 18 students, so there is plenty of one-on-one instruction. The Training Center facility mimics a shop setting, and although there are lectures and an exam, the majority of work is done on a workbench. Financing is available to those who qualify. See the FAQ section for more information.
